A little church in Jemez Springs. I have yet to take a photo of it that does it justice; this is my most recent attempt.

After the Storm

Late afternoon sun breaks through the clouds and lights up the Sandia Mountains. The yellow clumps in the foreground are snakeweed; the chamisa (which looks similar but is larger) is just starting to bloom. Taken at Elena Gallegos Picnic Area in Albuquerque, one of the city's unsung treasures -- and my own photographic playground.

Prickly Pear Fruits

Prickly pear fruits and blackfoot daisies. The prickly pear fruits seem especially colorful to me this year. There's a big range of colors too, including this bright magenta color, a dustier maroon, and many deep purple fruits.
